Copy trading, but for the wrong person
Look at almost any copy-trading platform and the pitch is the same: pick a “master trader,” follow their signals, sit back. It's built for someone who doesn't have a strategy of their own yet.
That's not who I kept meeting. The traders I know who actually need copy trading already have a strategy that works. They're not looking to follow anyone. They're trying to run their own edge across more than one account — a personal account, a couple of prop-firm challenges, maybe a client's account — without manually re-entering every trade five times a day.
Most of what's out there still assumes you're following someone else's strategy, not running your own.
What an experienced multi-account trader actually needs
Running one MT5 account is simple. Running five, across different brokers, is a different problem entirely — and it's an operations problem, not a strategy problem:
- A place to delegate without handing over your password. Most copiers assume one person, one login. The moment you bring in a partner, an assistant, or a VA, you're stuck sharing credentials or locking them out entirely.
- Symbol mapping that just works. One broker calls it
EURUSD. Another calls itEURUSDm. Copy tools built for casual use break the moment your accounts aren't all on the same broker. - One workspace per strategy, not one flat list.A conservative EURUSD strategy and an aggressive XAUUSD strategy shouldn't live in the same account list with the same permissions.
- Infrastructure that isn't your problem.Renting a VPS, installing MT5, keeping a machine on 24/7 — none of that is trading. It's overhead that has nothing to do with whether your strategy works.
- The ability to act on every account at once, not one at a time, when something needs to change right now.
None of this is exotic. It's just consistently missing from tools built for a different kind of user.
Why I'm building CopyFleet
CopyFleet is a copy-trading platform for MT5, built specifically for traders who are past the beginner stage — people scaling a working strategy across multiple personal, prop-firm, or client accounts, not people looking for someone to copy.
Team permissions so you can delegate without sharing credentials. Symbol mapping so broker naming differences never break a copy relationship. Workspaces so each strategy stays isolated with its own accounts and team. A managed VPS so your accounts run 24/7 without you managing a server. And account-level controls — including an emergency Close All — so you can act on every account at once, not one at a time.
If you've ever gone looking for a copy-trading tool built for how you actually trade — multiple accounts, multiple brokers, a strategy that's already working — and come up empty, that's exactly the gap I'm building CopyFleet to close.
